Collection and resources

• We hold over 50,000 books in the open access, on the shelves. These are scientific, educational and popular publications in humanities and sciences:

• mathematics and physics;
• biology, chemistry and ecology;
• pedagogical sciences;
• philology;
• psychology and others. 

• The section of periodicals comprises 170 Russian, republican and district magazines and newspapers, including electronic copies.

• Loans outside the library premises are provided by the Bookmobile - a travelling library on wheels catering for remote districts by the schedule. The Bookmobile regularly delivers fiction and non-fiction to readers living outside Syktyvkar and also takes orders for more specialized literature. 

• The collection of the Repentance Foundation is a unique series of research and reference literature dedicated to the period of political repressions in the Soviet Union. The collection includes rare and limited-edition books.

• attend thematic events, club meetings and workshops of the literature department of People's University.
