Former director of the National Library of the Komi Republic

Frmer director Olga Miftakhova headed the National Library of the Komi Republic from 2001 to May 2020. 

Olga Miftakhova graduated from the Librarians' College in Leningrad in 1979 and the Leningrad Institute of Culture in 1985 (now St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts). 

From 1979 to 1996, she worked at Syktyvkar Central Library as head of the methodology support department.

From 1996 to 2001, Olga Miftakhova was the Director of the Youth Library of the Komi Republic.

Awards: Certificate of Merit from the Komi Ministry of Culture and National Policy, Certificate of Merit from the Head of the Komi Republic, Devotee of Enlightenment Medal from the Russian Literature Society. She is an Honored Cultural Worker of Russia.

Olga Miftakhova was a member of the panel of experts at the Komi Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Archives.
