Living in the Komi Landscape

The exhibition is a collection of artworks that reflect a multilayered relationship with the Komi landscape from locals' and visitors' perspectives.

The artists in the exhibition participated in an international interdisciplinary summer school – Living in the Landscape (LiLa). The summer school is a collaboration between Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University, University of Lapland, UiT – Arctic University of Norway and Uppsala University.

The visitors will see photo sets and video presentations depicting the summer school experiences; 3-D artwork installations, ceramics, a herbarium and other art objects that reflect the research findings.

Another part of the exhibition is displayed at the Institute of Art and Culture of the Syktyvkar State University.

The project has been funded by SIU Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education, Nordic-Russian Cooperation Programme in Education and Research.

The exhibition will last till 19 October. The entrance is free.
