17 January 2022 Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees On January 14, 2022, an annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the National Library of the Komi Republic was held.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees Valentina Zhideleva presented a report on the activities of the Board in 2021. She noted that the past year was not easy for the National Library. She thanked the members of the board for providing their support in resolving technical issues during the overhaul with transport, volunteers' help, information support and financial assistance.
The chairman also spoke about the allocation in 2022 of additional funding in the amount of more than 6.5 million rubles from the public budget for the acquisition of books and further reconstruction of model libraries of the republic.

Anna Kosnyreva, Head of the Department of Regional Studies and National Literature, presented the new website of the National Library - "We are from Komi". The site was created for the centenary of the republic and contains 100 names of prominent people in science, culture, sports, politics, and economics, who made a significant contribution to the development of the republic. The public presentation of the new resource will take place in February.
Director of the National Library of the Komi Republic Aleksey Prosuzhikh made a report on the activities of the National Library in 2021: events, projects, promotions, professional events, competitions, podcasts and the work of the Regional Project Office at the National Library to create model libraries in the Komi Republic. Many events were dedicated to the centenary of Komi and the Year of Science and Technology in Russia. Last year, the library implemented 7 publishing projects on the history of social movements, industrial enterprises of the republic, the history of literature and culture.
During 2021, 8 library projects received grant support in science, education, business development, copyright and culture. In total, the fund-rasing efforts brought 2.2 million rubles, including sponsorship support and assistance from the Board of Trustees.
Among the achievements of 2021, the director noted the victory in the Library Analytics 2021 Russian Competition. The annual report of the Komi National Library was awarded as the best among 79 regions of Russia. Alexey Prosuzhikh thanked the Board of Trustees for personal participation in the events, assistance in organizing them, for support during the repair works.
A number of proposals for the joint work of the National Library and the Board of Trustees in the year of the 185th anniversary of the library were submitted for consideration by the trustees.
The director of the library presented the activities that will require the participation of the trustees? including such major events as the 5th International Forum "Intellectual Property and the Economy of Russian Regions", the Congress of the Technology and Innovation Support Centers of the Russian Federation, the Regional Book Fair "Scarlet Ribbon", several competitions for readers and the professional community. |
