24 November 2021 Online Meeting with Overseas Partners On November 23, Aleksey Prosuzhikh, the Director of the National Library of the Komi Republic, took part in an online round table with overseas partners. The National Library of Qatar and the Qatar University Library were introduced to their Russian colleagues from Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad and Komi.
The conference was organized by the Rudomino All-Russia Library for Foreign Literature (Moscow) with a view to discussing potential cooperation. Russian librarians did not only outline their library profiles, but also presented regional tourist attractions and spoke about their patrons needs during the pandemic.
The common issue to address was how to to adjust library activities to COVID-19 restrictions and move to "a better normal" during the recovery period.
Overall, the round table gave an opportunity to meet across borders, share each others' best practices and discuss options for international cooperation. |
