We are the Winners in Library Analytics - 2021

For the first time in history, the National Library of the Komi Republic has become the winner of the all-Russian competition "Library Analytics - 2021". The organization's annual report on the activities of municipal libraries in 2020 was recognized as the best among 79 regions of Russia that participated in the competition.
The award ceremony took place on November 18 in Moscow at the annual meeting of the heads of federal and central libraries of Russia, dedicated to the strategy for the development of the library sector in the Russian Federation until 2030.
“This is a significant victory both for the Komi National Library and for the entire professional library community in the region. First of all, this is the best confirmation of how dynamically and consistently the network of public municipal libraries republic is developing; corporate relations are strengthened; joint programs and projects are being implemented," said Minister of Culture of Komi Maria Balmastova.
The jury members praised the analytical and practical value of the work, a comprehensive description of the state of library services in the republic, the progress of modernization of libraries under the national project "Culture".
“We tried to cover the activities of the region's municipal libraries as objectively and concisely as possible, to give it a balanced and critical assessment,” says Aleksey Prosuzhikh, director of the National Library of the Komi Republic. - This approach allows identifying systemic problems in the sector and finding solutions.
The competition is held annually by the Russian National Library with the support of the Russian Library Association. In accordance with the Competition Regulations, regional methodological centers prepare an analytical document that summarizes the content and results of the daily operations of the region's municipal libraries in 2020. The focus is on key issues of the day issues: modernization of libraries and the library network development under the national project "Culture" (2019–2024), strengthening the integrity of the professional network, digital transformation of library activities, and universal accessibility of library services.
