31 July 2020 The National Library of Komi Receives a Collection of Books from Sberbank The Komi Branch of Sberbank has handed over more than 90 items of business literature to the library collection, as well as a specialized electronic information terminal that will include the library catalogue and services.
The collection of books contains best-selling items in management, business, administration and psychology.
The collection was started in 2009 with Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People which has been named one of the most influential books in business by the Time Magazine. Today this business series consists of almost a hundred books.
The electronic information terminal will be installed in the reading room to allow the library visitors to locate the required items in the electronic catalogue, order books in advance and get the information about the upcoming events and new arrivals.
"In fact, Snerbank and the National Library have similar missions – giving people confidence, making their lives better, supporting people in their aspirations and dreams. We are certain that these books will not be shelf sleepers. Soon they will appear in the library catalogue and will be available to readers," - said director of the National Library of Komi Aleksey Prosuzhikh.
Aleksey Prosuzhikh had a meeting with Acting Executive Manager of the Komi branch of Sberbank Alina Khvoshchuk to discuss joint projects and potential cooperation. It is planned to implement a project supporting the library's digitization process which will facilitate library services. Besides, the Centre for Legal Information at the library will continue providing a training course in financial literacy for patrons and personnel, including online training. |
