12 November 2019 How to Find a Business Idea Specialists of the National Library of Komi took part in the VIII Youth Look open city forum held on 8-10 November in Syktyvkar.
The forum unites young adults aged 18 - 30 years old who are interested in strategic planning and development of the city infrastructure. This year the event was dedicated to the Year of Mentoring in the Komi Republic and the Year of the Theater in Russia.
The programme of the forum offered several thematic sections, including Entrepreneurship, Comfortable City Environment, Working Youth, Master of the Stage and others.
Anna Vinogradova and Olesya Shagleeva were key speakers at the Entrepreneurship section representing the Information and Marketing Center of the National Library of the Komi Republic. In her presentation Anna Vinogradova spoke about basic steps for starting up your own business from scratch. The participants could also take a test in entrepreneural skills and business inclinations. Olesya Shagleyeva presented the theory of the morphological analysis developed by prolific Swiss scientist Fritz Zwicky. The participants tried his method of generating ideas in a business game.

The Information and Marketing Center has operated under the umbrella of the National Library of the Komi Republic since 2001. It offers free of charge services on a daily basis, including:
- expert advice on entrepreneurial activities;
- access to the database of regulatory and technical documentation;
- workshops on entrepreneurship.
Paid services in good demand are:
- preparation of income tax return declarations, preparation of reporting statements to the State Pension Fund and Social Insurance Fund;
- preparation of the personal income tax report for social tax deductions.
The center operates as a municipal business counselling office. |
