22 June 2019 The Day in June to Remember 22 of June is remembered as the day when the Great Patriotic War against fascist Germany started in 1941 becoming the most tragic 5 years in the Russian history.
We commemorated the day by public reading of war poetry at the front of the National Library of Komi. The songs of the war period were played attracting the passers-by who stopped and joined the action. Some of them used the open mic to recite the poems they remembered by heart. Others just listened.
The recital included most famous and most loved poems by Konstantin Simonov, Bulat Okudzhava, Yulia Drunina, Musa Dzhalil, Alexander Tvardovsky and others.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the action expressing their civil and patriotic stand. |
