Pushkin Day

On 6 June, the library events are traditionally centered around the birthday of the classic Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

We have finalized the results of the video marathon, Reading Pushkin in Komi,  in in which the contestants read fairy-tales by Pushkin translated in the Komi language. The project was launched on the 1 January 2019 and was dedicated to the poet's 220th birthday anniversary.

90 creative videos competed for the top prizes. The winners were determined by voting in our group in VKontakte.ru.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the marathon. With your original and artistic recital you expressed affection to Pushkin's famous fairy-tales and made your personal contribution into popularizing classic literature translated into Komi.

Other activities on Pushkin's birthday involved young readers who were introduced to the poet's legacy in games, quizes and on-hands workshops.

Kirov Park was another location where the National Library of Komi conducted an action in support of literacy, reading and writing.
