Tolles Diktat-2019: the Test in German Spelling

If you learn German, it is high time to join our annual German spelling test - Tolles Diktat. The National Library of the Komi Republic will host a wide public for the dictation in German on 22 February at 18:00.

The public dictation has already run seven years in a row and is always based on a different topic. This time it is devoted to the theatre, celebrating the Year of the Theater announced in Russia for 2019.

Tolles Diktat is an All-Russia initiative established by the International Union of German Culture and Tomsk Regional Russian-German House. The event coincides with the International Mother Language Day founded by UNESCO in 1999. Its worldwide annual observance is held on 21 February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.

The aim of Tolles Diktat is to popularize the German language and support literacy standards in learning German.

All the participants joining Tolles Diktat at the library will get a certificate.
