Going to the Library by Bike

A bicycle parking has been installed at the entrance to the branch of the National Library of the Komi Republic at 41 Kataeva Street. A shield with QR codes allows you to download books and periodicals on the spot.

The books available for downloading include works by local authors - Sergei Zhuravlev, Ivan Kuratov, Kallistrat Zhakov, Vladimir Timin, as well as Russian and foreign classic writers - Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol, Sergei Yesenin, Alexander Green, Anton Chekhov, Alexander Dumas.

In addition, you can get free access to the issues of the Tribuna and Zyryanskaya Zhizn (1918) newspapers, virtual exhibitions about Olga Berggolts, Daniil Granin, Mikhail Prishvin, Boris Pasternak.

- This is a sign of care for readers who travel by bike and a gift to all the citizens who love high-quality literature in electronic format. We hope that Syktyvkar people will like the innovation, - says director of the National Library Aleksey Prosuzhikh.

It is planned that in the future the new art object will fit into the space of the library building on 13 Sovetskaya Street, after renovation.

The parking lot was made with the financial support of a small business owner - Sticker LLC.
